BRAND EVALUATION


Lancome is one of the Brand, I chose. The history of Lancome begins since 1935, was founded in France by Armand Petitjean. Lancome is a luxury perfumes and cosmetics house, is a parent of L'oreal Cosmetics.
The name "Lancome" was inspiring by the ruins of the Castle de Chateau de Lancosme. The company was encouraging by roses grew around this area so the symbol of Lancome company is a single golden rose. Lancome launched its first fragrance in 1935 at the World's Fair in Brussels "Tendre Nuit." Then in 1936 Petitjean started his first "all- purpose repair cream." Nutrix, followed by the make-up, skin care and cosmetics products. Their most famous products include mascaras, namely "Hypnose", their Visionaries Range which contains patented ingredient called  LR2412, aimed to improve skin texture, especially pore reduction, fine lines and uneven skin tone. In 1964, Lancome was acquired by L'oreal and quickly become a part of luxury products division.
When I saw the first photo of Lancome Spring/Summer collection 2016, my heart starts to melt. The Spring pastel shades are adorable and lip glosses colour sweet and worth checking out. Lancome Paris Merveilleux palette is my favourite so far as combine soft coral shades, which will be transforming in a fresh spring 2016 look, which I used for on of my editorial looks.
I was enchanting and what, I like the most packages, beautiful, colourful like candy. My Parisian palette includes shimmery, pastel cubes colour; you can use as eyeshadow, blush, lip balm or highlighter. The texture is creamy like a playdoh, easy to blend it and mix it together, last long up to ten hours. On of my favourite is lip gloss in fuschia, which I bought for my advert look, luxurious, creamy texture and intense pigments moisturise lips for up to eight hours. Lancome lip lover comes to in three shades; this silky lip glosses available in fuschia, coral and peachy -pink; the are marvellous, come to be an ideal tool to take your minimalistic makeup to an entirely new level, which the soft sticks of them will never fail in perfect and flawless application. Beyond eyeshadows palettes and lip glosses. Moreover, Lancome also launched creamy blushes in warm pink-coral and nude pink shades, smooth texture that is pledging to give your face a healthy and natural glow like two waterproof eye pencils appearing in two shades sky blue and hazel brown are an apparent deviation from your traditional black pencil. Furthermore, the company has also cared about your nails launching four nails varnishes in pink, peach blossom, bleached yellow and sky blue.
One of the longest Lancome's running partnership was Italian actress Isabella Rosellini. For over 14 years she was an international face for the French brand. Besides another international star like Julia Binoche, Uma Thurman, Lupita Nyongo, Anne Hathaway, Mena Suvari, Drew Barrymore, Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Emma Watson and supermodels like Daria Werbowy, Ines Sastre, Arlenis Sosa and latest new Lancome's face Elletra Rosellini Wiedemann.
As a Luxury company, Lancome has collaborated with some makeup artist but recently since January 2015 British makeup artist Lisa Eldrige has been appointing as a Global Creative Director.

To summarise, from French perfumes house with an exclusive clientele, Lancome becomes one of the world's biggest luxury companies, distribute products globally, which apparently been paying attention to details in the adverts.
